Kokanee Glacier Resort is a hidden gem that my partner and I had the pleasure of staying at over the Christmas season. Nestled amidst breathtaking mountain views, we found this retreat to be the perfect escape for those seeking tranquility and connection with nature. We loved our spacious suite, which featured a comfortable living area and a full kitchen-ideal for preparing cozy meals together while enjoying views of Kootenay Lake. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant, where we savored authentic Chinese dishes crafted with passion. The friendly staff, especially Meimei, ensured that our dining experience was memorable; her warmth made us feel right at home. Each morning, we started our day with coffee on the large deck, taking in the crisp air and stunning surroundings. The location is also ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, with many tranquil trails nearby that appeal to both casual walkers and more adventurous souls. For a travel writer focused on eco-friendly accommodations, Kokanee Glacier Resort aligns perfectly with my values, allowing guests to absorb the beauty of British Columbia while enjoying sustainable comforts.
